San Diego Labor Day DUI Checkpoints

Labor Day is the next major holiday coming up right around the corner.  Family and friends are already planning ways to celebrate the day with cook outs, BBQ's and spending time with each other enjoying good food and drinks.  Many will drive to their destinations and then drive home after the party after consuming alcohol.

Police all over San Diego County will be setting up check points to target drivers operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol.  Be responsible this year and get a designated driver or make plans to call a taxi.  If you consume any amount of alcohol and are stopped at a DUI checkpoint, the officer will make you exit the car and undergo field sobriety tests aka Roadside Olympics.  It's not worth it.  If you or someone you know is arrested following a Labor Day checkpoint in San Diego contact the Law Offices of Aaron T. Hicks for a free consultation.  You may have defenses to your case, as officers are often wrong about evaluating those believed to be under the influence.  Contact our office at (619) 940-5566 or visit our website at www.sandiegocriminaldefensefirm.com
